Azerbaijan hands over 31 bodies of fallen soldiers to Artsakh
Azerbaijan has returned the remains of 31 fallen Armenian servicemen to Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) in the Varanda (Fizuli) region, Artsakh’s State Service of Emergency Situations reported on Wednesday.
The Azerbaijani authorities did not reveal where the bodies had been found, the service said.
According to preliminary data, all the soldiers were reservists. A forensic examination will be carried out to identify the bodies.
So far, Artsakh rescue squads have recovered 1,318 bodies from the battle zones. 15 of them are said to be civilians, while the others are troops.
