Eight more bodies found during search operations in Karabakh war zone
Eight more bodies were found during the ongoing search operations in the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) conflict zone on Thursday, Artsakh’s State Service of Emergency Situations reported.
The remains were retrieved from Jrakan (Jabrayil) region A forensic examination is set to be carried out to establish their identities, the service said. Search operations continue today in Martuni, Jrakan (Jabrayil) and Hadrut regions.
So far, Artsakh rescue squads have recovered 1,329 bodies from the battle zones. 15 of them are said to be civilians who have been either murdered or fatally wounded during the hostilities. The 1,268 fallen troops also include volunteers and reservists.
