AGBU announces research grants to raise awareness of Artsakh, its history, culture
The Armenian General Benevolent Union announced Artsakh Research Grants. As the Union said on its website, the goal of the Artsakh Research Grants is to develop knowledge and understanding of Artsakh, historical and contemporary, by supporting research in fields specializing in but not limited to the social sciences and humanities.
It is noted that due to the recent developments in the Armenian reality, promoting the voice of Artsakh and the Armenian people has become a critical and timely issue. We are faced with the urgency to delve deep into the study of Artsakh to widen and increase our collective understanding of the
AGBU Artsakh Research Grants offer an opportunity to raise awareness and enhance knowledge of Artsakh, its history, culture and existing issues by expanding mainstream and scholarly access to a larger pool of primary resources and accurate accountings through research projects and publishable outputs.
The grant is open to graduate students, academics, researchers, post-doctoral scholars and others interested in developing knowledge and understanding of Artsakh – historical and/or contemporary – by supporting research in social, cultural, psychological, legal, economic, technological, humanitarian, and environmental issues of the region’s past, present and future.
Projects can be in the form of scholarly or mainstream media articles and/or high-quality videos and podcasts.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until April 30, 2021.
