One person dead as the car runs off the roadway and rolls down into a gorge in Syunik province
On January 30, at 10։25 an emergency call was received to Syunik regional crisis management center that а car had run off the road and rolled down into a gorge near Goris-Sisian highway. One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of MES Regional Rescue Department dispatched to the scene, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
It turned out that Mercedes Vito car (driver H.A born in 1993) ran off the roadway and rolled down into a gorge on the 26km of Yerevan-Sisian highway. As a result of the road accident one passenger died on the spot, while the driver and another passenger were taken to Sisian medical center. Their health condition is assessed as fair.
The rescuers disconnected the automotive battery and closed the gas valve of the car.
