Police detain four ARF Youth Union members outside Armenian parliament
Police officers forcefully detained four members of the opposition Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF, Dashnaktsutyun) party’s Youth Union of Armenia and two other activists during a protest outside the Armenian parliament building on Wednesday demanding Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's resignation.
“Instead of taking measures to prevent further havoc caused by the government of traitors, the police continue to serve the regime acting against Armenia’s interests and to carry out illegal actions against the dignified Armenian citizens who are fighting against the destruction of the homeland,” the ARF Youth Union said in a Facebook post.
“The photos show the passports and the real character of the lawmakers who support Nikol Pashinyan's treacherous steps,” it added, sharing photos of the protest.
ARF Supreme Council of Armenia member Gegham Manukyan is among the opposition figures forcefully detained during the protest held by the opposition Homeland Salvation Movement.
