Armenian, Russian FMs hold phone call
Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ara Aivazian held a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on Friday, February 5.
In continuation to their previous contacts, the foreign ministers discussed in detail issues of regional security and stability, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said in a press release.
Aivazian and Lavrov touched upon the process of full implementation of the provisions of the November 9 trilateral statement on Artsakh. The Armenian diplomat especially stressed the importance of addressing the humanitarian situation in Artsakh on the ground.
The officials exchanged views on bilateral and multilateral cooperation. In this context, reference was made to the schedule of consultations between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries.
