Second earthquake strikes Armenia
The Territorial Survey for Seismic Protection of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations detected a magnitude 3.7 earthquake in the territory of Armenia on Saturday, shortly after midnight.
The earthquake struck 5 km northeast of the village of Shorzha in Gegharkunik Province at a depth of 10km.
The tremor measured magnitude 5 at the epicenter.
The jolts were felt in Gegharkunik and Tavush Provinces with magnitude 4-5.
Earlier on Friday, a magnitude 4.7 earthquake was recorded in the same area and was also felt in capital Yerevan with magnitude 3-4.
