Russian peacekeepers ensure delivery of 150 tons of humanitarian aid to Karvachar region
The Russian peacekeeping contingent continues to ensure the transit of humanitarian goods between the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) territories that have fallen under Azerbaijan’s control, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
To restore the power supply and water supply systems of social facilities and residential buildings, the second Russian convoy of the Humanitarian Response Center, consisting of twenty KamAZ military vehicles and five accompanying vehicles, delivered more than 150 tons of construction materials to the Karvachar (Kelbajar) region. The route of the column passed through Mataghis and Vank settlements.
Assistance was rendered to the Azerbaijani side on the basis of the terms of the trilateral agreement between Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan dated November 9 last year, the statement said.
