Another earthquake recorded in Armenia
The Service for Seismic Protection at Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) detected a new magnitude 2-3 earthquake in the territory of Armenia on February 17 at 07:26 local time (GMT 03:26). The earthquake struck 12 km southeast of capital city Yerevan at a depth of 10km. the geographical coordinates of the epicenter were northern latitude 40.10⁰ and eastern longitude 44.57⁰. The tremor measured magnitude 2-3 at the epicenter. The jolts were felt in Yerevan and Artashat town with magnitude 2.
To remind, a magnitude 4.7 earthquake hit the territory of Armenia on Saturday. The earthquake struck 8 km southeast of capital city Yerevan at a depth of 10km. The jolts were felt in Yerevan city with magnitude 5-6.
