No search operations for war casualties to be conducted today, Artsakh authorities say
No search operations for the war casualties will be conducted on Wednesday, the head of press department at the Artsakh State Service of Emergency Situations Hunan Avetisyan told Panorama.am. In Tadevosyan's words, the rescue and search units of the Service were prepared to start the works since morning, yet they were notified that no operations were planned.
"We are coordinating our work with Russian peacekeepers who are mainly negotiating with the Azerbaijani side. No reason have been communicated to us," Tadevosyan added.
The Artsakh official added that construction works are underway in the areas under the Azerbaijani control, and the Azerbaijani side sometimes restricts the entry of rescuers to those areas. To note, no search operations were conducted on Tuesday as well.
As of February 15, the total number of bodies recovered from the battle zones has reached 1,485.
