Around 600 trucks accumulated on Russian side of Lars checkpoint
Some roads are closed in Armenia as of Friday evening due to adverse weather conditions, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.
In particular, the roadways leading from Amberd high mountain meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari of Aragatsotn Province are shut down.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, Stepantsminda-Larsi highway is closed to all vehicles. Nearly 600 trucks have been accumulated on the Russian side of the Lars checkpoint.
Drivers are recommended to use exclusively winter tires.
