The moment of unity, determination and national awakening of the Armenian people may come on February 20 - Serzh Sargsyan
The Office of the third President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan has issued a statement. "February 20, 1988 was the moment of unity, determination and national awakening of the Armenian people. On 20 February 1988, the Nagorno-Karabakh Regional Council met in an extraordinary session to adopt a resolution expressing the Artsakh people’s will for free self-determination. Armenians all over the world joined the fair demand and struggle of Artsakh.
The Artsakh Republic rightfully proclaimed The day of that historic turning point as the Artsakh Revival Day.
February 20, 2021 may also become the moment of unity, determination and national awakening of the Armenian people," the message said.
To remind, a rally organized by the Homeland Salvation Movement, a coalition of 17 opposition parties, will take place at Yerevan’s Liberty Square on Saturday, February 20. A number of political, public and cultural figures have urged the people to join today’s rally.
