Armenia’s security endangered amid ‘destruction of state institutions’, analyst says
Armenia’s security is endangered largely because the state institutions are destroyed or on the verge of destruction, according to Henaket Analytical Center head Tigran Abrahamyan.
“In these conditions, the state system works with severe failures. The state administration system serves the narrow interest groups, while the opponents have been or will be punished undoubtedly,” he wrote on Facebook on Saturday.
“However, this cannot last longer, because the systems that end up in such situations collapse sooner or later.
“The authorities are accelerating this process with their steps and it can gather additional momentum due to the change of public behavior.
“The authorities must clearly assess the situation and fully realize the consequences of their steps. By the way, it does not refer only to the decision-makers, but also to those who carry out decisions,” the analyst said.
