Artsakh president hosts education minister, university heads
Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan on Thursday received Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Lusine Gharakhanyan, heads of Artsakh universities and several other officials from the education sector, the presidential office said.
A number of issues related to the international accreditation of Artsakh universities, as well as the organization of the educational process for the 2021-2022 academic year were discussed at the meeting. Harutyunyan stated that starting from the new academic year it is planned to make the university education in Artsakh free for the Armenian citizens as well. He proposed the ministry to review the list of professions for the universities, to pay attention to the quality of education and invite specialists if necessary.
"Quality education should become one of the visiting cards of Artsakh and the government will spare no effort in this direction," Harutyunyan said.
