Monday’s search for war casualties cancelled amid bad weather, Artsakh says
Monday’s planned search operations in Artsakh’s southern areas controlled by Azerbaijan to find casualties of the 2020 war and those missing in action have been cancelled due to fog and low visibility, the Artsakh authorities said.
Under such difficult conditions the search efforts are not effective, the State Service of Emergency Situations said, adding the search will resume on Tuesday if the weather improves.
Since the start of the ceasefire, a total of 1,490 bodies of fallen troops and civilians have been recovered from the former combat zones.
