Armenia's Supreme Judicial Council head applies to parliament speaker over ‘offensive remarks’ of independent MP
Chairman of Armenia’s Supreme Judicial Council Ruben Vardazaryan has applied to the speaker of the National Assembly in connection with the “offensive remarks” of independent MP Arman Babajanyan against him.
In his petition, Vardazaryan demanded that an ad hoc commission be set up to investigate “the gross violations of parliamentary ethics” by the lawmaker.
Vardazaryan stated that during the March 3 parliament sitting, Babajanyan “made offensive remarks hurting his honor and dignity and showed behavior unworthy of an MP, violating the rules of ethics.”
Vardazaryan shared a copy of the petition on his Facebook page on Tuesday.
