Armenia set to hold large-scale military exercises
The Armenian military is set to hold large-scale tactical and tactical professional military exercises in all operational directions from March 16 to 20 with the involvement of special forces, the Defense Ministry reported on Friday.
The drills will involve around 7,500 troops, 200 rocket and artillery systems, more than 150 anti-tank systems, some 100 armored vehicles, over 90 air defense systems, as well as aviation.
The military exercises are aimed at:
– checking the combat readiness of the troops, the operational management capacities and the ability to respond quickly to a specific situation;
– clarifying issues of cooperation between the staff, supporting forces and means;
– holding fire management trainings for units through simulated operational-tactical scenarios, involving both combat and non-combat shooting.
