Road condition update
Some roads are closed or difficult to pass in Armenia as of Monday morning due to adverse weather conditions, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.
In particular, Berd-Chambarak highway in Tavush Province and the roadways leading from Amberd high mountain meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari of Aragatsotn Province are shut down.
Vardenyats Pass and Jermuk-Gndevaz highway in Vayots Dzor Province are closed for trailer trucks.
Inter-community roads in Syunik Province, as well as in Ashotsk and Amasia regions of Shirak Province are partly icy.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, Stepantsminda-Larsi highway is open to all traffic, with around 455 trucks accumulated on the Russian side.
Drivers are strongly urged to use snow tires.
