Biden's wordings open up ‘broad front’ for Armenia’s activities – Suren Sargsyan
U.S. President Joe Biden’s wordings in his congratulatory letter to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the Novruz holiday open up a “broad front” for Armenia to get down to work, political analyst Suren Sargsyan said on Friday.
"As a Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, we remain committed to helping the sides find a peaceful and lasting settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and to promoting reconciliation between Armenia and Azerbaijan to ensure a prosperous and peaceful future," Biden’s letter read in part.
“Several conclusions can be drawn from this statement: The United States is not going to relinquish its position as a co-chair of the Minsk Group; the U.S., unlike Aliyev, does not consider the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolved; according to the Biden administration, the current situation and realities will not ensure a prosperous and peaceful future,” the analyst wrote on Facebook.
“These wordings clarify the U.S. position and political line, which opens up a broad front for our activities.
“Now the most important thing is whether the Armenian authorities believe the Karabakh conflict is resolved or not. The future of our state depends on this,” he added.
