Azerbaijan hands over bodies of 15 soldiers to Artsakh
Azerbaijan on Friday handed over to Artsakh the bodies of 15 more Armenian soldiers (according to preliminary data) killed during the 2020 hostilities.
The State Service of Emergency Situations of Artsakh’s Ministry of Internal Affairs said the bodies of the servicemen, who were considered missing, were recovered from the Varanda (Fizuli) region.
The bodies are yet to be identified through a forensic DNA analysis.
Since the start of the ceasefire, a total of 1,518 bodies of Armenian troops and civilians have been found in the former combat zones.
