Court hearing in Kocharyan’s and others’ case to resume tomorrow
The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, presided over by judge Anna Danibekyan, will resume on Tuesday March 23 hearings in the case of Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan and three other former top officials – Seyran Ohanyan, Armen Gorgyan and Yuri Khachaturov.
The court hearing in the case concerning the alleged overthrow of the constitutional order will start at 1pm, the defense team of the ex-president reported.
To note, Robert Kocharyan is charged with overthrowing Armenia’s constitutional order during the March 1-2, 2008 post-election events in Yerevan. The former president and his lawyers strongly deny the charges as ‘politically motivated’.
