MoD confirms the missing of two Armenia servicemen in Jermuk
Armenia's Ministry of Defense confirmed on Monday that two servicemen went missing from military positions in Jermuk. As the ministry said, the contact with the servicemen was lost on March 21 when they were moving from one combat post to another amid a heavy snowstorm.
"The non-stop blizzard is hindering search and rescue operations that launched yesterday. All necessary measures are being taken to find the servicemen," said the ministry.
To note, ArmLur.am news outlet earlier reported that the missing soldiers are identified as Karen Shakhnazaryan and Aghasi Hovhannisyan, who previously served in a military unit in Artsakh’s Karvachar region and currently continue their service in Jermuk.
