Opposition figure and lawyer Arsen Babayan, a former deputy chief of staff of Armenia’s National Assembly, called on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to “wake up and stop”.

“Nikol, I have not personally addressed you for a long time. Can't you see that you did it all wrong? Haven’t you realized yet that you've broken the rules of the world? Haven’t you yet felt that you have been engaged in a futile and dangerous war against humanity? Nikol, can't you see that you've even gone against the rules of nature?” Babayan wrote on Facebook on Saturday.

“You must eventually realize that you are powerless against the nation and all of humanity. The Armenian people and statehood are not worth a dime for you. Nikol, you have even pushed your family into the background. Have pity on yourself at least!

“On 16 September 2019, you were urged to stop, but you not only did not stop, but also you intensified evil, got entangled in your own web of lies and destroyed everything.

“Nikol, stop at last and save yourself from the evil you have done! And we, as a whole nation, will take efforts to save the remnants of our homeland and statehood. Leave peacefully, apologize and leave!

“I want to believe that you will finally come to your senses and make the right decision,” the opposition figure said.
