US dollar rate increased in Armenia by around 8% in March
The prices of non-food products have increased by 8.4% in March 2021 against March 2020 data, while the inflation against the previous month stood at 1.6%, according to the latest the data published by the State Statistical Service.
According to the source, in March 2021, prices for carpets rose by 0.3%, agricultural equipment by 0.8%, furniture by 0.9%, medicine, medical products and jewelry by 1.2% against february prices of the ongoing year.
March 2021 saw also a 14.0% and 18.1% growth in petrol and diesel fuel prices respectively, while the inflation against March 2020 stood at 4.9%.
In March 2021, the average estimate rate of the Armenian dram towards the US dollar made 527.7 drams, which exceeded the corresponding indicator in February 2020 by 7.9% (489.0 drams).
