Armenia's Covid-19 cases cross 200,000 mark on April 8
The number of coronavirus cases in Armenia has continued to climb taking the total number of infections over 200 thousand since the pandemic began. As the Ministry of Health reported, in a 24-hour period, the country has confirmed 1,231 new cases, bringing the national tally to 200,129 as of 11 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 816 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 179,043.
The COVID-19 death toll has increased by 32 to 3,675. The figure does not include the deaths of 940 other people carrying the virus. According to the health authorities, they were caused by other diseases.
The number of active cases is 16,471. As many as 889,872 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
