Putin: Russia played a crucial role in ending the armed conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh
"Russia has played a crucial role in ending the armed conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh," Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday in his State of the Nation Address to the Federal Assembly.
Putin stressed that Russia has always supported the important role of the UN in international affairs and strives to assist in the settlement of regional conflicts. “We have already done a lot to stabilize the situation in Syria, to establish a political dialogue in Libya. Russia played, as you know, the crucial role in ending the armed conflict in the Nagorno-Karabakh region," said Putin.
