Armenia takes part in European Grappling Championship for first time
The United World Wrestling European Grappling Championship continues in Warsaw, Poland, with the team of the Grappling Federation of Armenia taking part in it for the first time.
The Armenian team includes Mayis Nersisyan, Gor Grigoryan (62 kg), Vahe Badalyan, Aslan Poghosyan (66 kg), Gegham Vardanyan (71 kg), Khachatur Tamaryan (84 kg), Artur Zakaryan (92 kg), Gor Gyunashyan (+ 100 kg) and Lilit Danielyan (53 kg), the only female participant of Armenia in the championship.
Lilit Danielyan has advanced to the semifinals.
Mayis Nersesyan (62 kg) has lost in the finals, taking silver and winning the first medal for Armenia in the tournament.
The championship will continue tomorrow as well.
