Over 2 thousand people vaccinated against COVID-19 in Armenia, acting health minister says
"The state will not spare any expenses to acquire vaccines against COVID-19, otherwise the amounts will be spent on the treatment of coronavirus patients," the acting Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan told a press conference on Wednesday in Yerevan.
Avanesyan informed that over 2 thousand people have vaccinated against COVID-19 in Armenia, which is still a low number. In her words to ensure public immune large-scale vaccination campaign is required. "We are in a stressful situation as with every new wave of the decease and its variants, the number of coronavirus patients increases which in turn requires us to prevent the spread of disease with urgent measures," said Avanesyan.
She informed that a batch of 50 thousand Chinese vaccine Sinopharm will be delivered to Armenia next week which will be used for citizens above 18. The vaccine has been donated by China to Armenia, and the Armenian side has taken care only about transportation.
