Armenian expert: There are no effective means of overcoming security threats
Armenian military expert Tigran Abrahamyan, the head of the analytical center Henaket and a former security advisor to the Artsakh president, called attention to the lack of effective means of overcoming security threats.
“In the conditions of the new realities created in Artsakh, it is necessary to introduce mechanisms to prevent provocations and various other actions,” he wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.
Abrahamyan said although the incidents recorded in recent months are local in nature, their frequency, incomplete security mechanisms and the “indifferent attitude” of the Armenian authorities make the situation alarming.
“Neither Armenia nor Artsakh have developed their approaches towards ensuring security, therefore, there are no effective means of overcoming these threats.
“Economic, social and humanitarian programs are important, but security issues are prioritized only in statements.
“There is no serious progress in resolving these piled up problems,” the expert said.
