The Embassy of the Netherlands will fund a special platform to raise concerns of the Armenian consumers and protect their rights
Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Armenia Nicholas Schermers signed on April 26 another contract which will be financed by the Embassy of the Kingdom of The Netherlands in Armenia. The main goal of the project is to create website www.boghok.am which will serve as a one-window for complaints by the side of consumers, the Embassy reported.
According to the press release, consumers will have chance to report their complaints confidentially. Based on the received complaints, administration of the website will approach to relevant agencies and private sector companies and will publish at website results of interaction with agencies and companies.
The website will have guides for consumers about their rights regarding public utilities, food and non-food products, services. On annual basis, the website will score the agencies and companies in terms of their consumer-friendliness -“Consumer Champions”.
After analyzing legislation and practice of Armenia will be created 5 guides in a user-friendly manner and will be posted at the website, the source said.
