Serzh Sargsyan will not personally participate in the elections - Pastinfo
Armenia's third president Serzh Sargsyan will not personally participate in the elections and will not be included in the party list, Pastinfo needs agency reported.
To note, the Executive body of the Republican Party of Armenia announced on Thursday that it will participate in the upcoming snap parliamentary elections in Armenia in case they take place. Following the political consultations, RPA has decided to form a political bloc with Homeland party to run for the elections.
In an interview with Pastinfo, RPA Spokesperson Eduard Sharmazanov has neither confirmed nor denied reports that the third president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who is also the Chairman of the party, will not be included in the party list. Sharmazanov has informed that no discussions about the list has taken place.
"The Republican Party of Armenia led by Serzh Sargsyan will participate in the snap parliamentary elections. Consequently, all of us are involved in the process. As we announced earlier we will run for elections in a political bloc with Homeland party. Our main goal is to do our utmost to remove the treacherous and capitulant authorities. The party list has not been discussed. The important thing for now is that we will run elections," said Sharmazanov.
