Lavrov, Aivazian sign memorandum of understanding on biosafety
Armenia’s caretaker Foreign Minister Ara Aivazian and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding between the governments of the two countries on biological safety.
"The implementation of the memorandum is expected to make a significant contribution to the further development of cooperation in this sensitive and urgent area and help strengthen our common biosafety space," Lavrov said.
The Russian diplomat said this topical issue will be promoted on multilateral platforms, including within the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
