US expects Azerbaijan to immediately pull back troops from Armenia
The US is closely monitoring the situation along the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and expects Azerbaijan to immediately pull back its troops and cease further provocation, State Department spokeswoman Jalina Porter said at a press briefing on Friday.
“We’re closely monitoring the situation along the demarked border between Armenia and Azerbaijan," Porter told reporters, adding military movements are "irresponsible and they’re also unnecessarily provocative."
“We expect Azerbaijan to pull back all forces immediately and cease further provocation," she said.
