RPA, Homeland Party sign memorandum on electoral alliance
The former ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and the Homeland Party moved to sign a memorandum on the formation of an electoral alliance called "I Have the Honor" in a ceremony on Saturday.
The parties announced their intention to jointly run in the upcoming snap parliamentary elections earlier in May.
The ceremony is attended by Armenia’s third President, RPA Chairman Serzh Sargsyan, former Director of the National Security Service, Homeland Party Chairman Artur Vanetsyan, as well as other members of their political forces.
Before the ceremony of signing the memorandum, those present observed a minute's silence in memory of the heroes and martyrs of the Artsakh wars.
