Democratic Party of Armenia, Tigran Arzakantsyan join forces for snap elections
Democratic Party of Armenia leader Aram Sargsyan and Chairman of the Tigran Arzakantsyan Charity Foundation Tigran Arzakantsyan on Tuesday signed a memorandum on the formation of an electoral alliance to jointly run in the snap parliamentary elections slated for June 20.
According to the text of the memorandum, the sides intend to participate in the early elections to resolve the problems facing Armenia.
Sargsyan said the bloc is going to focus on four key issues in case of winning the elections.
"We must establish new quality relations with Russia, Iran, China and our other allies. We must resolve all the problems on our own so that they stand with us and support us,” he said.
Tigran Arzakantsyan said in turn that he is not “disappointed” and is ready to make every effort and use all his ties to get Armenia out of the current situation.
"We will soon hold a congress, during which we will present our program, what we want and what we can do. Our power is within us and we must bring it out," he said.
