Defense Ministry confirms there was dispute between Armenian and Azerbaijani forces in border area of Vardenis
There was a dispute between the Armenian and Azerbaijani military in the border area of Vardenis on Monday, Defense Ministry spokesman Gevorg Altunyan confirmed to Panorama.am on Tuesday, adding it was settled shortly afterwards.
"There was a minor incident, which was settled very quickly and did not cause any problems. Some rumors suggest that the Azerbaijanis moved forward and took away the weapons of our soldiers, but, definitely, there is no such thing.
“The Azerbaijanis are encircled by our troops in three parts; they have only one option, which is to return to their positions," he said.
