Criminal case opened into attempted murder of Artsakh civilian and servicemen by Azerbaijanis
A criminal case has been launched into an attempted murder of a villager and a group of Artsakh army soldiers by the Azerbaijani forces near the village of Shosh in the Martuni region.
In a statement on Friday, the prosecutor general’s advisor, Gor Abrahamyan, said the Azerbaijani troops opened targeted fire for seven minutes in the direction of the civilian who was engaged in engineering work on an excavator at a military position and the servicemen of the Artsakh military unit in an effort to kill them and destroy their property motivated by ethnic hatred.
As a result of the shootings, the windshield and the left side door glass of the excavator were completely damaged, the advisor said.
“In fact, the murder was not completed just because they managed to take cover,” Abrahamyan said.
