Ahead of parliamentary elections Police reminds about criminal offences related to electoral processes
The Police of Armenia has issued a statement on Wednesday, sharing information about crimes related to the electoral process which are envisaged by Armenia's Criminal Code .
It has shared Article 149 of the Criminal Code which reads: "Hindrance to the free implementation of the citizen’s right to elect or to referendum, or hindrance to the work of the election or referendum commission, as well as, hindrance to the implementation of the authorities of the election or referendum commission or initiative group, candidate or his proxy, observers, mass media representatives, the authorized person of the party (or association of parties), is punished with a fine in the amount of 200 to 400 minimal salaries, or 120-180 hours of public labor, arrest for up to 1 month.
