Robert Kocharyan: Respectful attitude of state towards business a prerequisite for economic growth
Second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan, the leader of the Armenia electoral alliance, discussed issues related to various spheres of economic activity, including road construction, urban planning, IT sphere and investment policy, at a meeting with representatives of small and medium-sized businesses on Tuesday.
According to the former president, the most important thing for entrepreneurs is the predictability of the government’s moves, including what policies the executive branch will pursue and how predictable tax policies and administration will be.
Special attention was paid to investment policy and business protection at the meeting, the Armenia bloc reported.
Robert Kocharyan stressed that respectful attitude of the state towards business is a prerequisite for economic growth.
“I could not recall at least one case when taxes increased during my presidency. A downward trend was constantly observed. At the same time, there has never been an incomplete collection,” he noted.
