Criminal case opened over capture of six Armenian soldiers
The Armenian military prosecutor's office has launched a criminal case into the capture of six Armenian servicemen by the Azerbaijani military in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The Azerbaijani troops crossed the state border of Armenia in the area of Kut village in Gegharkunik Province, surrounded the six Armenian servicemen who were carrying out engineering work and violently kidnapped them, taking to Azerbaijan, the prosecutor's office said in a statement.
The criminal case has been opened under Article 329 (illegal state border crossing) and Article 131 (kidnapping) of Armenia’s Criminal Code.
