Armenian national team to play a friendly against Croatia
Armenia national football team will meet Croatia in an international friendly match on Tuesday, the Football Federation reported. At a pre-match press conference held on Monday, Head Coach Joaquin Caparros stressed that Croatia is a strong side with good players.
"Croatia has an excellent team. Some of their players play for best championships of the world and they have a recipient of the FIFA Ballon d'Or," said Caparros, adding: "The is football and everything is decided on the soccer field. I want both Armenia and Croatia teams get what they want out of this friendly," the head coach stressed.
As reported earlier, the head coach had called up five newcomers to the national team ahead of the friendly match. Among them are BKMA goalkeeper Arman Nersesyan, FC Ararat-Armenia defenders Albert Khachumyan and Davit Terteryan, FC Alashkert midfielder David Davidyan and FC Urartu forward Karen Melkonyan.
