ARF leader: Homeland defenders are detained, whereas ‘traitors’ are still at liberty
Ishkhan Saghatelyan, one of the leaders of the opposition Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF, Dashnaktsutyun) party, took to Facebook on Thursday to denounce the detention of some of his teammates by police.
“Police detained my friends from the ARF outside the government building a short while ago. In fact, the homeland defenders are being detained, whereas the traitors of the country are still at liberty,” he wrote, adding “just 10 days have been left" till the current leaders’ ouster.
Saghatelyan condemned police officers for continuing to serve the “land giver and carrying out the traitor’s illegal orders.”
