Armenians advised to avoid direct sun exposure amid high UV index in next few days
No precipitation is predicted in Armenia from June 19-23, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
The ministry warned of a high risk of fires in the valleys and foothills of Ararat, Syunik valleys, Vayots Dzor foothills and some mountainous regions over the next few days.
It also urged the public to avoid direct exposure to the sun from 11am to 5pm, as the index of ultraviolet rays is high in the country.
South-west wind speed is 5-10 m/s. Temperatures will not change significantly.
The capital city of Yerevan will also see no precipitation from June 19-23.
