Armenian authorities are in ‘agony’, says ARF’s Ishkhan Saghatelyan
One of the ARF leaders, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, an Armenia bloc candidate, said he has voted for a strong, secure, stable, prosperous and democratic Armenia after casting his ballot in Sunday’s snap parliamentary elections.
“This is a new Sardarapat [battle], this is a choice between whether we will have a state or not,” Saghatelyan told reporters after voting at the 20/16 polling station in the village of Geghamavan in Gegharkunik Province.
He noted that today the results of the work done will be summed up, expressing confidence that the people will achieve a victory in terms of preserving statehood, returning it to the people and turning Armenia into a better place to live in.
“I believe that everything will be fine,” Saghatelyan said.
Addressing the reports of election fraud, the ARF Supreme Council member said: “The current authorities are apparently in agony; the misuse of administrative resources throughout the country, police forces, the cases of shoving members of our campaign offices and summoning them to police testify to the convulsions of the authorities and a feeling of defeat.”
“We will defend each vote casted in our favor to the end, but for now I warn all privileged people who do whatever they want, including in Gegharkunik Province. We will not allow it, we will prevent it and after the elections each of the violators will be held to account,” Saghatelyan said.
