CSTO observers released final conclusion about Armenian parliamentary elections
"The snap parliamentary elections in Armenia were held in accordance with the legislation of the Republic," the mission of observers of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly (CSTO PA) stated in a statement.
"Despite the pandemic, the voters' participation in the polling stations passed without restrictive measures, that created relevant conditions for the citizens to express their free will who also had the opportunity to express their position about the candidates out of the party lists," the statement said.
To note, snap elections to the National Assembly of Armenia were held on Sunday. 21 political parties and 4 blocs were vying for seats in the parliament. According to updated data released by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), the voter turnout in Sunday’s snap parliamentary elections in Armenia stood at 49.4%, at the end of voting.
