Air temperature to reach +40°C in Yerevan
Due to the penetration of the tropical warm air wave from the Arabian Desert, on 21-24 June high thermal background is expected throughout the territory of Armenia, Hydromet meteorological Service reported on Monday.
In the valley and foothills of Ararat, in the foothills of Vayots Dzor province, in the valleys of Syunik province and in Yerevan in the daytime +39․․․+40 degrees is predicted. On 21-24 June, high risk of fire is also expected in the mentioned territories, the source said.
The intensity of UV radiation is expected to be above normal. It is recommended to avoid direct sunlight from 11:00 to 17:00, the Service added.
