Republic Party issues statement after Sunday’s snap elections
The Council of Aram Sargsyan’s Republic (Hanrapetutyun) Party, which gained 3.04% of the vote in Sunday’s snap parliamentary elections, on Monday expressed deep gratitude to all those who voted for the party and also congratulated Nikol Pashinyan’s Civil Contract Party for winning the elections.
“The Republic Party expresses its deep gratitude to all those who trusted and voted for the party. We value your trust and feel committed to you,” it said in a statement.
“The Republic Party congratulates the winning team and wishes them success in these crucial and difficult times for the Republic of Armenia.
“We want all the forces elected to the parliament to work for the benefit of our country and statehood and we respect the opinion of their voters.
“We do not differentiate between the citizens of our country.
“The Republic Party promises its voters that it will continue to express its approaches with the same vigor, trying to balance the foreign policy of Armenia, offering solutions for strengthening the economy and investment programs.
“We wish peace and prosperity to our people and fruitful work to the National Assembly of the Eighth Convocation,” reads the statement.
