Yerevan court to issue ruling on motion for Armen Charchyan’s arrest on Wednesday
The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction will issue a ruling on a motion to arrest Armenia bloc member, doctor Armen Charchyan on Wednesday, his lawyer Erik Aleksanyan said on Facebook.
Charchyan, who heads the Izmirlian Medical Center, has been charged with obstructing the exercise of voters’ free will.
The court completed hearing the motion filed by the Special Investigation Service late on Tuesday.
“A rather tense and extensive discussion was held. The court will issue a ruling on 23 June,” Aleksanyan said.
Armen Charchyan has denied any wrongdoing, denouncing the charges against him as “political persecution”.
