"I'm Honored" bloc to challenge election results In the Constitutional Court
The representatives of "I'm Honored" bloc are set to apply to the Constitutional Court of Armenia to challenge the results of the parliamentary elections held on June 20 in Armenia. The Bloc's spokesperson Sos Hakobyan has told Pastinfo news agency that reports about violations related to holding free and fair elections as well as their obstruction, including the misuse of administrative resources, the use of touring groups for vote, hate speech and unequal access to Public TV.
To remind, earlier "Armenia" bloc, led by ex-president Robert Kocharyan, announced the intention to apply to the Constitutional Court to overturn the official results of the June20 parliamentary elections.
According to the final results released by the Central Election Commission, the ruling Civil Contract party garnered 53,91% of the vote, followed by "Armenia" bloc with 21,09%. "I'm Honored" bloc received 5,22% of the vote less than the 7% threshold suggested for blocs to enter parliament. However, achieving the top third result it will be present in the parliament as envisaged by the country's legislation.
