Expert: Has Pashinyan nothing to say about difficult, very acute and sensitive decisions?
Armenian security expert Tigran Abrahamyan, the head of the analytical center Henaket, on Thursday reacted to the remarks of Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with Armenia’s caretaker Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Moscow on Wednesday.
Congratulating Pashinyan on winning the June 20 snap elections, Putin said: “I believe this is important to everyone, primarily, of course, to Armenia and the Armenian people, given that difficult, pressing and sensitive issues like these – pending issues – can only be resolved if there is an opportunity to work effectively. To achieve this, the most important thing is that people trust you.”
“Has Pashinyan nothing to say about those difficult, very acute and sensitive decisions that the Russian president reminded about in Moscow?” Abrahamyan wrote on Facebook.
“After November 9, we suffer territorial losses as soon as such "important" decisions are spoken of.
“Karvachar, Akna (Aghdam), Kashatagh (Lachin), later the village of Khtsaberd, Khin Tagher of the Hadrut region, Mount Dizapayt and adjacent heights, then the sections of Sanasar (Kubatlu) and Kovsakan (Zangelan), which were supposed to remain under the control of the Armenian side under the November 9 tripartite statement.
“Every such meeting / agreement carries the risk of new losses,” he said.
Incidentally, the official statement on the meeting released by the premier’s office has cut the word “sensitive”, but it is mentioned in the Kremlin's statement.
